The 5G era

We’re excited about the far-reaching change to advertising and marketing 5G will bring.

5G will fuel all of these new connections and more services will be moved to the cloud. Moreover, 5G speeds will be 20 times faster than current 4G. As a result, ads will load faster – to the joy of users – and bounce rates will be reduced.

At the same time, 5G’s ability to process more data will unlock the full potential of augmented reality and virtual reality, the use of higher-resolution ads, such as 4K video, as well as expand advertisers’ ability to personalise content in real time.

Streaming larger, higher-quality videos will lead to a dramatic increase in a consumer’s time spent watching this format.

As network speeds increase, more and more tasks will be transitioned from the world of computers to the world of smart devices. Though this technology won’t be widespread in 2019, the ad tech industry is bound to start planning this year for the future.
